Life Update

Hi Lovlies,

I think I owe you all somewhat of an explanation.  I seem to have dropped off of the blogging world for the past month.  I’ll be honest, there wasn’t anything going on in my personal life, I wasn’t ill or traveling, I just needed a break.  It started with me going out of town for a weekend.  I knew I was going to run out of posts over the weekend but I figured I would just get back into it when I returned.  That didn’t quite happen and now here we are.  Honestly, this world, the blogging world, is exhausting.  There are so many bloggers and each of them want their blog to be known.  This means that bloggers essentially have participate in a sort of self promotion battle.  Self promotion isn’t my thing.  I feel uncomfortable pushing myself on people and I feel annoying when I’m constantly tweeting about my blog.  I have taken this month to reflect on how I feel about this world.  I got into it to express myself and connect with other people.  I still want those things so I have decided that I really do want to keep this blog as a part of my life.  I am going to focus on writing high quality posts.  They won’t necessarily follow a schedule and I’m not going to stress about getting something up just because its Monday.  I want to blog about all of the things that I love and hopefully they are things that you guys love and if there is something that you love that you think I might love and that I should write about, tell me! This blog is about me and connecting but a big part of connecting is you guys.  Even if there are only three or four of you out there, you guys are what makes this fun.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post and my blog.  I really appreciate each and every one of you.

xx,

Lauren

Self Tanner for Spring

Hello!

IMG_5618

Today’s post is going to be about the wonders of self tanners. I am very pale and pasty so come spring I am in need of a little boost. I try my hardest to keep my skin out of the sun. I made a few tanning bed mistakes as a teenager and I am trying to redeem my skin now so SPF has become my best friend.

Project 10 Pan?

Hi there!

I have put a lot of thought into this post. It took me months to decide whether or not I even want to do this. Project Pans are scary. Its basically setting myself up for failure. It seems like no one actually finishes a project pan. I have looked up both blogs and YouTube series on it and everyone is going strong in the beginning and they write a lot of updates and then all of a sudden, its like they never did a P10P. Suddenly there is a haul post and no more mention of their attempt at using up 10 products first.

Hello!

It doesn’t seem possible that March is over and we are on to April already. I am so ready for spring and everything that comes with it. We have had a few tastes of spring so far and it is making me want it full time!

Products I Won’t Repurchase

Hello!

This is a really hard post for me to write. I’ve put this off for quite some time. I don’t like buying products that don’t work out (hello, Captain Obvious…). I also don’t tend to keep products I don’t like. I usually see if any of my friends or family want to give it a shot. If they aren’t interested then I usually toss them out. Since I know these posts are really popular, I have been making a point to keep them them. I try to my best to be positive on this blog and to do reviews of the products I am enjoying. I tend to have less to say about things I don’t like so I have a hard time putting together an entire post. I have finally collected enough things to write a full post for you guys though!

Keep in mind that these aren’t necessarily bad products. They are products that I won’t buy again – that doesn’t mean that I hate them though.
